Be Not Afraid

These last few days were very strange. The news didn't bring any good thing. Between a riot in the Capitol, impeachment of the president, promises given like crazy, it was hard to find something that would encourage us to move forward. But do not be afraid.
First of all you are not alone and it means that we have to come together. I noticed that many people do everything to be away from others. Well, division makes people very weak. We can close our life to private back yards but it doesn't save us from things that happens in front of the house. Our strength is in unity. This is something that we have to learn. Divided family, divided country, even divided Church will not survive. We have to come together. I know that each one of you want to protect your family, but believe me you will not be able to do it on your own.
I think the second most important thing to learn is to listen to what is really said. I know from my own experience that people very often hear what they want to hear. Their personal problem closes their ears to what is said. This is used very often by the enemy, by Satan. Listening is very important. The words have a message that is supposed to help us find the truth, not to make it. There is more. If you listen carefully you can discern much easier who is lying and who is saying the truth. I very often correct people if they misinterpret what was said.
We also have to say what we mean to say. Use your words carefully. Do not shoot at them whatever comes to your mind. We have to know what we are saying. We do not have to say everything we know. This world is full of words that do not mean anything. This emptiness allows our opponents to manipulate us and give us misunderstanding. Take responsibility for everything you say and make others responsible for what they are say.
We have to make people accountable for their actions. Mercy follows repentance, it doesn't replace it. We have to forgive others but at the same time we have to show them the truth. Do not be afraid to point out wrongdoing. Evil is only waiting for you to stop reacting to it. Be faithful to the truth.
So you are probably asking how this can happen. We can do it by following God and everything He reveals to us in His Church. He is the way, the life, and the truth. Do not be afraid. Do not wait. He is with us today so that today we can start to make changes.
A hymm we frequently sing says a lot: "...Be not afraid, I go before you always, come follow Me and I will give you rest. ..."
Thank you Father Marek, for the beautiful lesson and encouragement.
Thank you, Father, for speaking the truth. God bless you.
