New Pope and what will be next?

It was great to see that we have a new Pope, Leo XIV, the first American Pope with experience of the universal Church. This is a new chapter with new tasks and new challenges. I find it very refreshing.

It is very interesting that, at a time of so many tensions between countries, communities, and political parties, the Holy Spirit directed the Church to choose this particular person.

I recently read an article about the growing number of Catholics in the UK. Most of the converts are people in their early twenties. They are looking for a faith that has a stable foundation, independent from the world's moods. The sale of Bibles increased 20 percent last year, because people were looking for hope. It seems like the world is changing in a good way.

Right now, I am on my deployment, surrounded by military personnel. Our chapel is too small for the number of people coming for the protestant services and a Catholic Holy Mass. The number of Catholics attending Mass is smaller than the number of Protestants participating in their service, but it is still a nice crowd. It will take time to reach out to all Catholics on a base. We pray for all of them during adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Prayers are helping all of us to go through this time.

I will keep you posted on how things go.

God bless all of you.
