Everyone knows that the more grateful we are, the more joy we have. This is a universal truth and applies to every element of life. It is also present in one's prayer life. This dialogue with God, even though sometimes difficult, should bring us the joy of a child of God.
Our life is passing by very fast. The older we are the faster it goes. Day after day we have less and less time. It is important that at a certain moment in our lives we discover the magnitude of gratitude. We say "thanks" so many times, sometimes it is an automatic reaction. But are we really grateful?
If we think about our most important celebration which is the Eucharist we have to understand that it is a celebration of Thanksgiving. We come there to be grateful for the gift of salvation. This is the beginning and the end of everything that is most important. Our entire life is in it.
Being grateful makes our life better, deeper, richer and helps to see how much we have and how blessed we are. Every moment of our life gives us something to be grateful for. Advent actually helps us to see it. Waiting for the Lord is not a passive sitting but a very active, exciting dialogue with a grateful heart. So, bring this gratefulness to your prayer life and be a joyful child of God.
Grateful for all the blessings I have received from God and especially being led to the Catholic Church. Thank you with all my heart.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom Father Marek!
Without a doubt being grateful gains us more grace!
Grateful for you too Fr! Keep up the good work😉
