First day on ice

We just left Staffal, Italy, this morning. The weather is not kind at all. Clouds and bit of rain but this is not a problem for us. Apparently we have to be washed before we enter the sanctuary of the Alps.

It is a first day on ice for Chris and Szczepan. From the very beginning mountain teaches us to be humble. Step by step we are moving towards out first stop. Campagna Gnifetti is a great place to stay over night. We met people from all over the world. Everyone from this crowed came here only for one reason - to climb the summits. When we entered the cloud on our way to the hut, the entire world disappeared for a moment. There was no up or down. This grey color took us for a moment to completely different place. Fortunately it didn’t last for long. I wonder if Moses had similar experience when he entered the cloud talking to God.

Anyway it was interesting to here people complaining about Covid shutdown. For two years nobody could step into this majestic world. I hope I will be able to upload few pictures.

No wonder why the Bible makes so many references to the mountains! If there is no time for God, going up the mountain and entering into the clouds would be the way God would tell the prophet: “In this mountain there is only your true you and my whole me.

It will be his hand that guides you. So cool!

Enjoy his most majestic and beautiful presence!

The world must look wonderful from your location. I hope the altitude doesn’t adversely effect anyone in your group. Do you have oxygen with you? Have fun and send pics when you are able. The stars must be magnificent at night!

This is very interesting since I was a mtn climber in my past life. It is a humbling experience. Standing on top of a 14000 ft mountain brings you as physically close to God as you can get. Keep these coming Fr. Kroll. Thank you. Herb Engler
