How Blessed We Are

I just talked to my friend in Germany. Curfews and restrictions all over the country. He shared a story of people already sending pictures to the police of a few people standing on the road and chatting. That seems to be a little bit weird and believe me I am expressing this in a very polite way.

Yes, the USA is still the land of freedom and hopefully it will stay this way. We are blessed to be here. I know a lot of immigrants from different parts of the world and all of us say the same statement: we are free here.

This year is coming to an end and I am looking at all the blessings that I have. First of all - no curfew, I can share my point of view, I can move up by using my own hard work, I do not have to wait for the mercy of a government to make my life better. These are just a few things that make me feel blessed. Every time I talk to my family and friends in Europe they are jealous how much I can enjoy my time here.

But there is one special element that makes this possible. Americans, at least most of them, believe in God and his commandments. Maybe this is the reason why so many evil forces try to destroy this land. They cannot accept that people here are happy and they believe in hard work. They smile because they know how to enjoy each other. I noticed that young people do not smile much but then they do not know how to be happy. They always complain - not all of them. Anyway, I am surrounded by wonderful people.

So many people have asked me if I miss Poland. Yes, I miss some things about Poland but at the same time I have so many wonderful people that makes this place like home.

So, I am and you are, blessed by having this beautiful time and place. All our challenges just make it even more worthwhile to be here. Next year will be different, but it is up to us how we will use it. Let's take the best elements of this nation and continue to pass them on to our next generation. All media and sad politicly correct people will try to discourage us but do not pay attention to them. Remember what your $1 bill says: In God We Trust.

We are indeed blessed, for God provides everything we need. He gives us the strength to carry out his will for us, he teaches and nurtures us. He walks with us and provides us with great spiritual brothers and sisters! This is specially important for us immigrants, since our blood relatives are back in our country of origin. He gives us a strong family so that if we fall, we have hands to pick us up and keep going. He rejoices in our eureka moments and shows us that he cares for those around us, too. We need to be truly thankful...We are so blessed and loved!

Thank you, Father. Yes, we are surrounded by miracles, beauty, and joy, all the time, when we are able to pause, and appreciate it. We are blessed, indeed! Our children reminded us on Christmas Day, when we said "Merry Christmas" to them- "Yes, and, Happy birthday, Jesus!" We must continue to spread the Good News of Jesus, and God's love, especially to the children, who will tell their children these things. I am reminded of the great cloud of witnesses that we are told about in Hebrews. God bless.
