I don't know how many people know Stephen C. Meyer, Ph.D. but he is one of those that believe in the intelligent design of the Universe. Here is a link to one of his speeches during the conference in Dallas about science and faith.
I am giving this link because it is important to look at the world of science not just from the platform of atheists and people against God, but also from the point of those who believe in God. This clip can help the parents to show their children that science is not against the existence of God.
I decided to write about this because of the end of the first reading in today's Liturgy of the Word. "For the world in its present form is passing away." (1 Cor. 7:31) When we listen to many modern scientists we can get the impression that the theory of the world evolving from itself is truth. But there is a catch. It is just a theory, something that has never been proved. Unfortunately for many, this theory is taken as fact and they approach everything from this perspective. St. Paul in his letter to the Corinthians touched on a very important truth. That everything in this world is changing and passing away. Nothing is stable and forever. Passing away means to first come from something.
While Richard Dawkins in his "Delusion of God" rejects any supernatural powers and interventions, there are more and more scientists finding evidence of the intelligent involvement and directions that were from the very beginning present in the Universe. Michael Behe, specializing in molecular machines is convinced that only somebody intelligent could create the simplest organisms.
Anyway, while this world is trying to reject God, science slowly is reaching out towards Him.
Wonderful! Thank you for sharing this. I will pass it on for sure!
I just finished listening-fabulous! It seems that very intelligent & prideful people are the hardest to convince that there is a God. But, when they ARE convinced it is beautiful ❗️
