Need for Control

I remember when Apple introduced an app which allowed people to see where their child, spouse, friend or anybody else is - of course if they gave you permission. Apparently the reason was to be safe. I remember when after 9/11 all the airports got TSA to keep all of us safe. I remember when we had to give permission to different apps to locate us otherwise we couldn't use them. In each case it was to make our life safer and better. Now, after so many years I do not see this life any safer or any better. So what happened?

We gave permission to be controlled by others. Every day we sign some small box with even smaller print where we agreed to give all our information to somebody else. But this is not the end. Every day people try to control other people to get a fools sense of control over another person. There is a big price that we have to pay now. We've lost the meaning of trust. We say that we trust, but then we have to check so many times.

Sometimes I think that our relationship with God is the last place where this trust still exist. We've became such poor humans. Having everything in the world outside we completely missed out on the internal world. It is only God who really trusts us with his entire love. He entrusted us with His Son. He gave us this world to take care of it. He gave us free will to make right decisions. And every time we come to confession he forgives us our sins with a hope that we will stay with Him.

Every single day we have to learn from our Lord how to trust. Only in this way will we build true friendships, healthy marriages, lasting relationships. In a moment we realize that we do not have control over the world, we are winning the real life with the Divine Providence. Do we need anything else? Actually not. Working together with God's trust and passing it on to others we make this world a reflection of the promises given to us by Jesus Christ. So, do not try to control, trust God, trust Jesus.

I have come to understand that we as human beings can do horrible things to control others out of our own fears and insecurities, but the interior freedom in which God lives with the soul...That cannot be touched. It is a sacred place that no one else can access. We just have to realize it is there: Eternity lives in my heart! And in yours too! Amazing!!!
