I've been quiet for sometime now because so many things are happening and being in my construction chaos had made it hard to focus. But today I've got some very scary news. Over 5,000 teachers signed a pledge to continue teaching Critical Race Theory even if it's outlawed. Here we go, people that are responsible for bringing up the new generation decide to follow political correctness. The only advice I can give today is this: leave the public school system. Forget about sports and extra curriculum. All of them are not worthy to be involved in if the price you're going to pay is a messed up mind of your child.
It is time my dear parents that you will stop worrying so much about where you go for vacation and what new car you have to buy. Sometimes less money means a better life. You are the first teachers of your children and you have the full right to decide what your children are learning. Do not sell your children to the school because it is convenient and gives you extra time for yourself. Being a parent is time consuming work.
So you are probably wondering what to do. May I give you an idea that just came to life in Woodland Park? Our parents decided that they will open their own school - Merit Academy. They were so fed up with the agenda happening in our public schools. From now on those parents will execute their right to make a choice in what is good for their children. I can only say: Bravo.

From the faith perspective this new school will promote values that are universal and have deep roots in Christianity. It is Christ that taught us about valor, goodness, perseverance, responsibility, and friendship. Christian charity is not socialism, Christian love is not tolerance. I know that the liberal world is now changing the meanings of so many words to cover their actions against human dignity. The good news is that every evil sooner or later turns against itself.
So in this world of madness let's encourage our parents to step up and to take decisive action against it.
I was told I was crazy for putting our four children in catholic school. 40k per year for kids in elementary and high school but it has paid off. Every school comes with challenges but catholic school parents are involved and everyone knows each other. I am glad I was able to invest in the figure.
Last I checked, a number of the Merit grades are full for the upcoming year but I know they'll expand in the future - this is their first year out. It is an awesome and strong group of parents running it, that's for sure as they fought the school district that was dead set on killing the school. 1/3 of children who live up here currently choice out to schools in the Springs!! Homeschooling is always an option as well, we rather enjoy it :).
Whatever is beautiful, good and true, think about those things. Sound theology needs to impact all classes. The challenge for us Catholics in education is tremendous. It is so hard to find a good high school, Father. Sometimes those schools that are supposedly Catholic, do the worst harm.
