Silence in Hope

Holy Saturday has a special meaning. It is a day of silence. It doesn't mean a day of quiet. It is the silence of Hope. It is the of waiting. Everything is on hold because we are about to see Jesus Christ again, the living God. There is not a separate liturgy for that day until the Easter Vigil. When the sun goes down we will enter the Holy Night of the mystery of the Resurrection.

Our entire life is like a Holy Saturday. We work, pray, serve God and our neighbor waiting for the moment when we will die and rise with Jesus Christ. This day is just one step away from the fulfillment of everything in our life. Through our baptism we entered into the place when the Cross leads to death and later to life. We are so blessed to have this hope. Nobody can take it away from us.

In just a few hours, we will enter the celebration of Easter Vigil. Let us joyfully sing our praises to God because he humbled Himself for our salvation and He rose from the dead breaking the chains of sin, scattering the darkness of evil and giving us true life in Himself.

Be still and listen, our Savior is coming. Make your heart ready to sing: Alleluia.
