Snow is Coming

Our summer is almost over. Next week will be the first frost and first snow this fall. It is something I am looking forward to. And here is the problem -- there are not many people that really want snow that soon. Yes, there's always something that some people pray for and others pray against.

Just imagine if there was a winning amount of money around $1,000,000.00. Now there are 1,000,000.00 people praying to God to win the prize and God was so kind and allowed everyone to win. That means everybody just won $1.00. They probably will not be so happy.

Winter is the same. All lovers of skiing and snowboarding would like to have a lot of snow but the truck drivers prefer to have black roads and nice warm days. This is the way the world is and this is the beauty of our reality.

Things happen in a certain order regardless of our opinion. They reflect the wisdom of God. Our creator doesn't take sides in voting. He does everything in the order that comes from him and he never makes mistake.

When I lived in UK i noticed something interesting. In summer time I saw people on a street wearing winter boots. In winter time the same people were wearing summer shoes complaining that it was cold and wet. I didn't make any comments about it because it wouldn't change anything. There is a reason why our ancestors developed certain ways of dressing up depending on the seasons.

So my friends, it is time to slowly put our t-shirts and shorts into the box and reach out again for our winter stuff. It is also the time when we can pray more for the future of this country. There is a lot at stake. We can pray to end all abortion, to save marriages, to help children to grow up as responsible people. All those things come from the wisdom of creation. Let the will of God win in our hearts.

I’m still studying Theology so I hope Father jumps in if I goof. We can reconcile both when we recognize that we are all sinners and only God is good. Creation comes forth from God’s goodness, so it shares in that goodness. This is why we can talk about trying our best to imitate Christ’s goodness in our lives. Along with the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a great source to answer many of our questions. I invite you to look at paragraph 299 and 457. I hope this helps.

I just read your post “Catchy Title”. How do reconcile that with your post “Good People“ where you say we can never be good. In “Catchy Title“ you said “There is nothing wrong with being a good mother and father and taking care of a child and sharing with him or her values that come from the Bible. There is nothing wrong with being a good worker with a good work ethic and respect for a boss. There is nothing wrong with being a good priest”

Please lift us up don’t beat us down. Should we live Catchy Title or the depressing Good Peope?

Will do. Just make sure you pray for snow on your side of Colorado because I still have tomatoes to pick over here. 😁
