Some Things Never Change

The war in Ukraine has gone on for three weeks. Over 2.7 million people are refugees. We might all think that the world would all understood the size of destruction done by this conflict. But apparently something that is so obvious for us is not necessarily obvious for businesses.

Poland, so far, has received over 700,000 children that should be at school. Most of the adults are women, because their husbands stayed to defend their country. Russians are destroying civil buildings and hospitals. It seems that Putin wants to completely destroy Ukraine. But apparently this is not so obvious for some European countries. The government of Germany doesn't want to stop the import of Russian natural gas. The president of France told French business not to stop dealing with Russian businesses. Nederland does not want any refugees from Ukraine. What just happened? A few years ago, Europe was ready to bring in all the people from Syria, but not today. Maybe it is so close, maybe there is no business from those refugees, or maybe they do not want Christian people in their atheistic land. It is better to welcome muslims than christians. And I have nothing against muslims. We have to respect any religion, but it is hard not to compare some things.

This war would never have happened if European leaders didn't sell their own people for profits from the business with Putin. This war would never have happened if Europe had kept their Christian tradition and deep faith.

Unfortunately, doing business with evil was more important than promoting traditional values. If we remove God from our hearts, we give space to Satan. There is not empty, indifferent space.

We pray for Ukraine and the people from Ukraine, but we also pray for those that sold their hearts to the evil. They need to convert and reject their wrongdoings. Otherwise this evil will come soon to us and to any place in this world. Satan doesn't stop with one country. He wants to own every single soul. But we can stop it. Let's bring God back to our public life.

Well said Father Marek. My first thought when this war started was 'Evil & Devil are leading this.'

God is eternal. We suffer but a moment. This too will pass. Let’s not lose hope.
