Swiss Alps

Our time in Italian Alps is over. Now we have to conquer the Swiss side. After our arriving to the camping place, the weather changed. Next day didn’t give us a chance to see any sun. It was raining all day but we used it to walk around Zermatt. My companions navel have been here before so we had a good time touring across the town. Unfortunately at evening this wet and humid conditions made us feel cold. Life is not perfect and cold night helped us to be more joyful when things are going well.

Our second morning was fantastic. All clouds were gone and after early breakfast we moved to Zermatt to catch a cable cart to the glacier. Swiss glacier for me one of the most spectacular places in Europe. It is like an ocean of ice with beautiful peaks reaching out to the sky. We have seen some people skiing on the runs prepared for them.

We had baking sun above and freezing ice under our feet. Can life be any better? When we were climbing our tent got completely dry so no more worries about being wet over night.

We are kind of sorry for ourselves because everything was so fas. Our time in the Alps is almost over. We have only few more days in France and Germany and in Poland. There are so many summits still waiting for me to come. It is hard for me to leave this paradise on ice but there is a next year and next call to climb one more time.
