Here is a news story from April 28th, 2021
It seems that finally we recognize that there are some moral values that cannot be changed and we cannot compromise the biggest gift of faith, the Eucharist, with political correctness. The Holy Eucharist is a privilege that is given to us out of the mercy of God. We have to respect and honor it in the best possible way. There is a reason why we genuflect in the front of the blessed sacrament and we use special hymns and songs to praise this Heavenly Gift.
I am nine years in the USA and I have noticed that our Church suffers from a lack of respect for the Eucharist. I always struggle with children coming to their first Holy Communion who do not know any prayers, do not know the Ten Commandments, even do not know what the Holy Mass is. Every time it's the same excuse: that there is not time, it is too much, etc. It is sad that everything that is related to Jesus Christ seems to be too difficult. I have seen children going to playgrounds every weekend, running for hours and it is not too much, but to learn about our Savior is overwhelming. We should be surprised that after decades of this kind of approach, many young families don't understand the beauty and richness of the Holy Mass. We have some work to do. It is our duty to bring back the deep devotion to the Blessed Sacrament.
One of the most precious moments during the week we have is a Holy Hour, just time with the Blessed Sacrament exposed on the Altar, when with some short prayers and silence we are immersed in the presence of God. From this close relationship with our Savior comes our internal life, rooted in the grace of His presence in us. We have to encourage each other to come and spend this one hour as one in front of God. The strength of every parish comes from the Holy Hour. So, make time to be with Christ in silence.
we continue to pray Father...and listen.........
Thank you Father
We pray for our Magisterium; our pope and bishops, specially our soon to be bishop, Fr. James Golka. May our Lord grant them wisdom, clarity, courage, perseverance, and guidance in handling public crimes against humanity. Lord hear our prayer.
Thank you 🙏
