"This is my Body, this is my Blood"

We have many different religions around the world. In every corner people believe in something or someone. Even those that claim to be atheists believe in themselves. Faith is a necessary element of our life. Even more, we cannot be fully human without faith.

But there is one religion and faith that is completely different than others. It is Christianity and the Catholic Church. In every religion there are sacred scriptures, prophets, chosen people being with God and telling others what to do. Christianity goes in another direction. God, after hundreds of years speaking with people and showing them His power, finally came to us as a man. It is not a prophet sharing the message, not the elders of the tribe or some other person. It is God who became man and spoke with us directly. In every other religion there is a gap between the god and the people. It is a gap that separates the Ultimate power from those below. But in the Church it is different. God left Himself to us under two elements: the Body and Blood. He asked as to consume those gifts and this way He allowed us to be in Holy Communion with Him.

Tonight we will celebrate the Lord's Supper. We are going to see the same Christ as the apostles saw. We're going to say "Amen" testifying to the truth, that God is really present in front of us on the altar. This mystery shows us the inexpressible love of God towards His beloved creation - people.

May this holy celebration open your heart to embrace the biggest gift you have received. In Him is our life and in Him our salvation. Without Him we are nothing. So, with humble heart give praise and glory to God, because He comes to you and me as a living God.

Praise be to God! Our everlasting King! Thank you to all priests for their priesthood. May God’s light guide you and keep you faithful in the test.
