It is a new day and it is time for new challenges. Right now we are in a middle of the first one. Works on a road blocked us in a middle of nowhere. It is already one hour and we didn’t move even an inch. Sometimes life is like that. There is not much we can do right now, just wait. Last evening friend of mine took us to the sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Amberg.

It is a beautiful church with outstanding art. It amazes me how much people were able to give to God in a past. Our modern churches look so poor compering with the old ones. It seems that there is something missing in us. Maybe we became too economically developed and there is not much left to give to God. Probably one day we will find an answer to this question. Anyway, this beautiful church was like a little tast of Heaven. I am not surprised that in the past even kings bend their knees before the altar. I think this a problem of or time. Then higher and mor successful we are than more difficult it is the kneel in front of God.

Very similar to the traffic to our spiritual heart, we block what doesn't agree with our egotistical ambitions, instead of surrendering everything to the Beloved Lord Jesus Christ. We like what feels comfortable with us. God is watching us and waiting for us to turn to him with Full of Love. Love also entails suffering. This is what we also have learned from the saints.

Holy cow, what a Beautiful Church!! I totally agree with you, that there is something missing in us! I saved the picture to my phone-I collect pictures of old cathedrals. I hope you had water to drink while you were stuck in traffic! Be safe!!🙏🏻😊

Reminds me of some I saw in Rome. I try to enter any church I pass as most are beautiful. Don’t have to go to museums to see beautiful art.
