We Cannot Avoid Answering to God

It is pretty common that people will say one thing and then deliver an explanation that is completely different from what they said. It is also very common that people understand things the way they want to. As a consequence, we've come to the point that nothing is as it was said and nothing means the same as it was said. We are in a world of confusion.
Confusion is a fruit of spiritual mess. It is caused by Satan. He knows that by confusion he will be able to push into our lives some sins. The more confusion the more evil can happen. The gift of the Holy Spirit is a clear vision, and a direction of what we have to do. Through the entire Old and New Testament God always made clear what had to be done. Every time people forgot about it, they brought trouble upon themselves. This is happening in our time too.
Lent helps us to understand that for everything we do we will have to answer to God. For every confusion we brought upon ourselves, we will have to give a statement to God. Satan convinces us that God doesn't see, or that he understands our problems so we do not have to worry if we have done something wrong. But actually we have to be very worried, because it is not about what God knows, but it is about how much we love God by following Him.
Today we have to meditate on ourselves and our actions. It is time to realize that even if we can convince people how wonderful we are, God knows our heart and he knows our motives. Only by true love of God can we avoid confusion in our life. Only by listening to Him can we find the true way to salvation. Everything else comes from Satan and his lies. It is very interesting that God's truth never requires us to cancel any person, while at the same time all Satan's lies are calling to shut up the mouths of those who do not agree with his lies. This tells us that if you have to follow something that is forced on you it definitely doesn't come from God. Even faith is your free choice - you can believe, but you can reject God.
Each decision has its own consequences. Satan doesn't give you a choice. He forces you to make yourself a prisoner of sin. So, reject anything that can bring confusion into your life. Say what you mean and understand what is said. Nobody can escape from answering to God.
I read from one of the saints (I think St. Teresa of Avila) that if we don’t go lower it is because of God’s grace that sustains us. When a saint is brought to heaven, he brings many with him. Let’s then pray earnestly for each other because we all need prayers on our way of repentance. We came from God and one day we’ll go back to him, we’ll go back home.
