Who is Winning?

Not only in America, but almost worldwide we can notice some interesting phenomena. People are divided into two groups. This devision is so powerful that it has separated and broken entire families. But try to find the reason or the source of this division. It is impossible. So I have one question that comes to my mind. Who wants to divide people and why? The easy answer would be, Satan, but he is using people to do it. So who are those people?
This entire pandemic situation had shown us that there is no equal approach to people. Some can do more, some cannot. Some people can say whatever they want and the others cannot. Some people had to follow lock down restrictions and some don't. Some people could destroy your property, but you do not have the right to defend yourself. I can go on and on.
So what happened that we could get to this point?
And to be clear, it is not only about politics but it is in the Church, in colleges, schools, in the work place. It is almost like someone imprinted this in us and we didn't notice when it happened.
Joesph Goebbels, a German Nazi politician and Minister of Propaganda said: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
I think we are actually facing this problem on both sides of the arena. Since we gave up our responsibility for the country and we gave it to politicians the entire need for truth disappeared. Voltaire said: "Is politics nothing other than the art of deliberately lying?" and actually did it.
I think because of our arrogance, lack of desire for knowledge - trivia is not a desire of knowledge - we allowed some people to lie to us and we accepted it. I was very much surprised when I was told that when you do research you do not have to share it. You only present your conclusion. Well, if I cannot verify your research how do I know that the conclusion is correct?
So who is winning and what? This is a good question to ask. Everybody knows that nothing happens by coincidence. Maybe instead of fighting against each other we could put our forces together and find out who is dividing us. "Divide ut regnes" said Julius Caesar (Divide and Rule). I think this is happening right now. When we are so absorbed by politics some groups are already doing business on the side that will bring big profit. It is possible that no Democrats or Republicans are winners but those who were able to divide us.
Yes, Ipenland2020..."turn off all the noise and keep the faith"...great wisdom!! Pray ALWAYS!!! Yes and Amen!
Along the same lines, I recently read that in the 60s the KGB did some psychological experiments. They learned that if you bombard human subject with fear messages nonstop, in two months or less most of the subject are completely brainwashed to believe the message. To the point that no amount of clear information they are shown to the contrary can change their mind. True or not, technique is certainly alive and well today.
As far as divisiveness, I liken it to we’re being divided between sheep and goats [Matthew 25:31 ] We’re living in interesting times.
Best we can do is turn off all the noise and keep the faith. Here is an interesting article you might enjoy:

Well said! Thank you for your blog Father! Much appreciated here.
Good insight and wisdom...
The vitriol of our political discourse, worldwide, seems extreme, but maybe not worse than previous generations. The communication networks of today keep folks informed instantly and continuously. We have no time to digest and analyze information. Sometimes it is best to ignore it all and find a quiet place.
