“You shall stand up before the gray head, honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God"

The Book of Leviticus passes to us a very important law given to Israel by God. It is not a coincidence that I am talking about it today. Just this morning watching some news online, I saw a video clip showing an older lady trying to walk across the street with her walker stopped by young protesters. https://twitter.com/KyleKashuv/status/1286802027973140481?s=20

The nation that doesn't respect their elders is doomed and will die. Those young people showing their power over the weak and the old are giving a testimony, that they do not care about any rights. They bring violence because they are looking for anarchy. In other words I am saying that they bring evil. There is no justification for this kind of behavior and do not try to convince me that they have the right to do it. Those few young people probably haven't done anything for their country, but they are demanding everything. My dear parents, you have to wake up and understand that if you teach your children to only demand and feel entitled to everything that this short clip is a consequence of what will happen with your child later.

It is very sad that many colleges claiming to be Catholic or Christian actually promote this kind of behavior. They have lost their faith identity a long time ago and became wolves in sheep's clothing. I personally refuse to promote them and do not encourage my young teen friends to go there. It is not a pamphlet that makes colleges Catholic or Christian. It is a fruit visible in the students that testifies about the model of values that is promoted in a particular college. It is very sad that many institutions responsible for young people prefer to follow Evil instead of God.

It is the saddest time in the history of this country when in the name of promoting the equality of people we divide our entire society. You cannot bring good fruits from violence. Jesus Christ conquered the world not because he used his angels to fight evil people, but because he died on the cross and exposed all the lies of Satan. Satan is loud, shouting, intimidating but he always lives in fear because he knows that God will always win.

Let us say "thanks" today to our elderly people for everything they have done for us. If anybody deserves something in this world, it is these older people. May God bless them and keep them safe.

Dear Father, Thank you for sharing with us this disturbing video. I am certain that many of the parishioners at OLW at at St Peter's would not allow this attack on the elderly (or handicapped) to happen in their physical space. Please pray that we meet such senseless and evil violence with holy wisdom as God wants us to respond. Prayer is always the right response - yes! Prayer is primary - - but also concrete action is necessary at times. thank you Father!
